Short bio

PhD-Doctor in International Economics and Economic Development with more than 30 years of experience in regional, local and territorial economic development projects (design, management, evaluation), trade and competitiveness in LA and European countries. With extensive experience in EU cooperation projects for the development of competitiveness, quality and employment through the promotion of MSMEs in Latin America, as well as in projects to promote and facilitate trade, and adaptation of SMEs to the technical requirements of the international market, especially the European.

Likewise, Dr. Rivera has extensive experience in cross-border cooperation projects, having participated in European Interreg projects (Metaforesigth and FUTURREG), as well as in Latin America (regional, cross-border and subregional cooperation), in the areas of trade, innovation and competitiveness.
